" I hand carve functional items from greenwood that are made to be used and to last. I use an axe, knife and a hook knife; a traditional method of carving that does not require any power tools or sandpaper. I make wooden spoons of all sizes made to be used in the kitchen and to eat your meals. I also make items such as drinking cups and bowls from wood. They are made from different timbers carved while green and then dried and oiled with food grade and environmentally friendly linseed oil. I source my material from people around my community that have recently cut down trees - this way I can give the tree a long life in the kitchen opposed to being chipped up. "
