Small-batch fermented using local, seasonal ingredients, Belly of the Beast Craft Kombucha emphasizes creativity and flavour with every bold new brew. Founded in August of 2016, we are happy to sell our products throughout Peterborough at a number of cafes, restaurants, craft breweries, and one notable cheese shop.
Kombucha is a fermented tea; carbonated like pop but not as sugary, and fermented like beer but non-alcoholic. And like other probiotic rich fermented foods like yogurt, kimchi, and sauerkraut, kombucha is great for your gut. But at the end of the day, we brew for the craft of it. Sourcing our sweeteners and spices from Jo Annes, Kelceys, or The Main Ingredient, we also glean inspiration from our source of herbs and produce; our local farmers. Most notably, we have partnered with Circle Organic to produce a line of booch using only on-farm ingredients. Through this attention to detail, and our creative flavor combinations we want to turn kombucha from something you should drink, into something you want to drink.
