The annual Lakefield Jazz Art Craft Festival is outdoor summer festival that takes place beside Lakefield's scenic Otonabee River. The community comes to enjoy a wide variety of Jazz music, colourful works for sale by artisans and crafters, interesting foods and ice cold beverages!

The Lakefield Fair has been a community event for over 150 years. Held every summer by the Lakefield Agricultural Society, the fair offers demonstrations, derbys, crafts, awards, family entertainment and much more.

The Lakefield Literary Festival celebrates its rich literary history each July on the weekend closest to Margaret Laurence's birthday (July 18th) and showcases many current Canadian authors. The festival was created to celebrate the work of Catharine Parr Traill, Susanna Moodie and Margaret Laurence, among others, all of whom lived and wrote in Lakefield.

The Lakefield Trail is a 5.5 km trail that meanders through the Village of Lakefield. The Lakefield Trail Stewardship Committee was established to promote the benefits that the Trail contributes to the community and to maintain the Trail, ensuring both the safety of those who use the Trail and the preservation of the natural beauty of the Trail.
